Preparing For Your Program
Your upcoming YTT200 program is approaching, and excitement is building! This immersive program has been carefully designed to include all of the elements as required and outlined by Yoga Alliance. Students will study in a supportive group environment, with our incredible team of wellness professionals. Our Kootenay Yoga School Team is dedicated to guiding you through a transformative and inspiring experience.Your days will be full of conscious learning, group and independent project work, engaging conversation, fulfilling seminars, and of course daily yoga classes. We ask students to arrive with a true commitment to the program and the ambition and excitement to participate in all elements.

1. Start resting and really looking after yourself seriously in the 14 days prior to program start day. It is helpful to sleep according to local Cancun time for a few days ahead of arrival if you are on a much different time zone.
2. Anatomy Pre-Work (Videos & Quizes)
As part of your preparation, you’ll receive access to the Anatomy Video Library hosted on our learning platform. Below is a simple overview of how it works, what to expect, and how to make the most of it.
How to access the platform-
Below you will find a link to the platform. Once you open it, you’ll be prompted to enter your name and email address to create your access.
As soon as you submit your information, your registration will be sent to our team so we can activate your access and send you a separate email to use for future access as you progress through the curriculum.
How long you will have access-
Once your access is activated and you log in for the first time, your 4-month access period begins. This means you will have four full months to view the anatomy content at your own pace and you can come back to them as many times as you need during this time frame.
What’s included-
Inside the platform you’ll find:
• Pre-recorded anatomy lectures
• Supporting educational material
• Short quizzes to help reinforce key concepts
The quizzes are part of the learning experience and are designed to help you review and integrate the material after each video. The quizzes are provided as a downloadable PDF so you can revisit them at any time. It is recommended to complete the quizzes directly after watching the video to help reinforce the key concepts and track your progress as you move through the course. You can print them, fill them out digitally, or simply use them as a self-check to make sure everything is landing clearly.
Do you need to finish everything before the training?-
Ideally, we recommend completing the videos before the training begins so you arrive feeling confident and prepared.
However, please don’t worry if you’re joining last minute or if your schedule is tight — there is no rush. You will still have access during the training, and for the full 4-month period, so you can complete the anatomy portion in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.
If you experience any issues accessing the platform or have questions about the anatomy content, please reach out directly to stephanias+anatomy@gmail.com for support.

3. Attend and journal about 10 yoga classes ( can be online, in person, with friends, etc. ) *There is no outline for this journalling- we only ask you to start to get into the mind space of what creates a safe and inspiring class. Start to think about what you loved in the class / may change- these things can be about the class or about the atmosphere (music, temperature, volume of teaching, how did your body feel afterwards, etc.)*
4. Travel insurance: It’s a good idea to plan ahead and have travel insurance in case something goes wrong. When buying, read the policy details to ensure that it’s right for you.
5. If you would like to take our coordinated transportation, here is the link to do so!
6. To borrow mats, blocks and straps from the school, you can follow this link to ensure they are reserved for you
7. If you can not find the "welcome email" that was sent to you: Please first attempt to search for our email address at kootenayyogaschool@outlook.com or check your junk / spam folder or reach out to us to forward that email to you!
