A Softer Introduction to the YTT Experience

Maybe you have always been curious about Yoga Teacher Training but aren't ready to commit.

Maybe you love yoga but have no desire to teach.

Maybe you simply want the community, healthy routines, ceremonies, practices, nourishing meals, and immersive atmosphere that come with YTT — without assignments, exams, teaching practicums, or certification requirements.

This retreat gives you the opportunity to experience some of the most enjoyable parts of YTT life while maintaining the freedom of a retreat guest.

You are welcome to join the community, participate where appropriate, and then step away when you want time for yourself.

No tests. No teaching requirements. No certification pressure. Just yoga, community, nourishment, exploration, and space to be.

What Your Stay Can Include

Every retreat guest is invited to enjoy the foundations of our daily on-site experience:

  • Morning meditation and Asana practice

  • Three nourishing vegetarian meals each day

  • Coffee, tea, water, and seasonal beverages

  • Time to relax, journal, read, explore, or simply rest

  • Access to the retreat property and shared community spaces

  • Opportunities to connect with YTT students, teachers, and other retreat guests

  • Invitations to participate in select YTT ceremonies, specialty classes, workshops, excursions, and activities when the schedule aligns

Depending on your dates and location, your experience may also include opportunities for practices such as Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, sound healing, ceremony, beach yoga, group experiences, excursions, or other special YTT activities.

Because these retreats run alongside our regular Yoga Teacher Trainings, the exact schedule changes throughout the month.

That means every stay is a little different.

Choose Your Destination

Joshua Tree, California

Slow down beneath the desert sky and immerse yourself in the quieter rhythm of the California desert.

Joshua Tree offers a beautiful setting for yoga, reflection, nature, sunshine, hiking, spacious mornings, and evenings beneath an incredible night sky.

Your retreat experience unfolds alongside our Joshua Tree YTT community while still giving you plenty of freedom to explore the desert, relax, or enjoy your own independent time.

Isla Mujeres, Mexico

Trade your routine for warm Caribbean air, tropical surroundings, island life, and an immersive yoga community.

Wake up for morning practice, enjoy nourishing meals, spend your free time at the beach or pool, explore the island, and participate in select ceremonies and YTT experiences when your dates align.

Isla Mujeres offers a beautiful balance of practice, adventure, rest, community, and Caribbean life.

Kootenays, British Columbia

Immerse in fresh mountain air, peaceful lakeside surroundings, and the natural beauty of the Canadian Kootenays.

Wake up for morning practice, enjoy nourishing meals, spend your free time swimming or relaxing by the lake, exploring nearby trails and forests, or simply slowing down in nature, and participate in select ceremonies, workshops, and YTT experiences when your dates align.

Our Christina Lake retreat offers a beautiful balance of yoga, nature, community, adventure, and space to reconnect with yourself — all within the grounded atmosphere of our Canadian YTT community.

Your Dates. Your Duration.

One of the things that makes this experience different from a traditional retreat is that you choose when you arrive and how long you stay.

Stay for:

1 night.
A long weekend.
One week.
Two weeks.
A month.
Or longer.

Our programming operates alongside a rotating YTT calendar, so your specific activities, ceremonies, specialty classes, meals, and excursions will depend on the dates you select.

We encourage you to reach out before booking so we can share what is expected to be happening during your stay and help you choose dates that best match the experience you're looking for.

Stay Longer & Settle In

Sometimes a few days is exactly what you need.

Other times, the real transformation comes when you stop counting the days.

Guests staying two weeks or longer are eligible for discounted extended-stay pricing, with savings available for longer immersive stays.

An extended stay gives you time to move beyond feeling like a visitor and begin settling into the rhythm of the community — morning yoga, nourishing meals, familiar faces, quiet afternoons, local exploration, and enough space to actually slow down.

A Healthy, Grounded Retreat Environment

Our retreat spaces are intentionally designed around wellness, yoga, community, learning, rest, and mindful living.

You will be sharing the environment with YTT students who are engaged in an intensive educational experience, so we ask retreat guests to contribute to the same respectful and grounded atmosphere.

This means being considerate of practice and study times, respecting the peaceful nature of the property, and participating in the community in a way that supports the people around you.

In return, you get something that is difficult to recreate in a conventional resort:

the feeling of actually living inside a yoga community.

Retreat Freedom + YTT Energy

This is not a traditional all-inclusive resort retreat.

And it isn't Yoga Teacher Training.

It is something beautifully in between.

You can wake up and practice with the community, share breakfast, spend the afternoon exploring, join a ceremony in the evening, and then decide the next day that all you want is a book, a hammock, and absolutely nowhere to be.

Participate when it feels right. Rest when you need to. Explore when adventure calls.
